Wolves see sheep as weak prey to be devoured, but the good Shepherd of the sheep (John 10:11) makes them wise and strong.

Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
Matthew 10:16

We are sheep among wolves. There are many false teachers out there who are wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). They are in churches, behind pulpits, on television, on websites, and on social media.

When I found myself entangled in a Christian cult, under the abusive leadership of a false teacher, the good Shepherd led me out. I'm now on a mission to share what the good Shepherd taught me in order to help set others free.

The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
John 10:3-4

Mission

I believe many Christians today lack awareness and understanding regarding the spiritually abusive churches that exist in their neighborhoods and cities.

The mission of SheepStrong is to rightly handle the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) in order to:

  • Help believers identify, expose, and heal from spiritual abuse.
  • Empower believers to stand up for the unpopular Biblical truths that have been lost in our generation.

SheepStrong is dedicated to helping the sheep identify and expose false teachings and false teachers.

What is Spiritual Abuse?

Spiritual abuse is the use of deception, manipulation, and inappropriate influence by a pastor or leader over members of a church in order to take advantage of their material, financial, or emotional resources.

Forms of Spiritual Abuse

Many churches today have leaders who are abusing the sheep with various forms of abuse.

Financial abuse

Many church leaders are coercing the sheep into donating large sums of money. It makes the church leadership team very rich, while impoverishing the sheep.

Emotional abuse

Many church leaders are using fear tactics to keep the sheep anxious, afraid, and thus, easier to control.

Spiritual abuse

Many church leaders are distorting Bible passages in order to make the sheep do what they want, rather than what God wants.
